Ugh, LJ. Why do you have to be stupid in the same way Facebook is? Don't just roll out new features without warning everyone about the changes. So flisties, please don't crosspost any comments on my LJ to Facebook or Twitter please. I would appreciate it.

Minor fandom pet peeve: Let me start by saying that I love Inception and the Inception fandom. I love the fic, I love the art, and I spend time I should be doing homework hanging out in the kink meme. Having said that, let me show you my pet peeve. In my opinion, the physical characteristics of a character do not necessarily match the physical characteristics of the actor playing them. For instance, if an actor dyed their hair blonde to play a character, that character may be a natural blonde and not whatever hair color the actor is. Little things like that.

That's why it somewhat annoys me that it's widely accepted fanon that Eames has tattoos. If you look at fanart, they even seem to look like the same tattoos Tom Hardy has. I have watched Inception multiple times, and I can think of only one instance that you can see any tattoo and that time it was just the slightest hint of one. You'd have to be watching for it to see it. So my thought in this case is that since Eames wasn't shirtless in the movie and didn't flash tattoos, that Eames does not actually have tattoos.

Anyway, like I said, it's a minor annoyance. I can see why people wouldn't agree with me and I'm not going to go into every single post that has a tattooed Eames and make my case. I just kinda wanted to get it off my chest.

For the first time in months, I actually had a dream that I remembered upon waking. And it was a zombie apocalypse dream!

I think it was heavily influenced by Left 4 Dead (which I never play), Inception, and Batman: Under the Red Hood (both movies that I watched yesterday). I was dressed much like Jason at the end of Under the Red Hood with the snug body armor and the two guns tucked into the back of my waistband. I was leading and protecting a group of survivors. Half of the survivors in my group were dressed in some seriously sharp GQMF suits. The other half was my family, also dressed in various forms of body armor. I was the only person to have guns because I had the best aim and I was the only one who wouldn't hesitate about shooting someone.

I probably would have forgotten all about it when I woke up if it hadn't been for the neighbors. One of my neighbors woke me because he was using a really loud weed whacker, and when it revved, it sounded like a really loud groaning noise. So I woke up with my heart pounding because I thought there was a zombie in the room with me.

Guys, is this what shame feels like? It's not something I'm used to. It's not like I did anything wrong. I just left a couple of prompts at [livejournal.com profile] inception_kink. And I made absolutely certain I anonned so no one can trace anything back to me. But still.

If you're bored, you can always see if you can find my prompts. There's one that I'm pretty sure [livejournal.com profile] cho_malfoy can get, but the other one might not be quite as easy. I don't know. I guess it largely depends on how easy my writing style is to recognize.

Finally got around to watching RocknRolla last night. It was so much funnier than I was expecting. And gay. So very gay. One Two and Handsome Bob going dancing was one of my favorite things ever. I gotta say, it's a good thing I didn't see this before I learned that Guy Ritchie was going to do Sherlock Holmes or I would have injured something squeeing and bouncing around.

Little bit of Inception talk )
