Castiel Is Dead

Tonight, I'm going to see Bruno Mars and Janelle Monae (!) with cho_malfoy. And that's not what I'm posting about. That would be too normal.

There's a post on ontd_spnparty about season 7. Mild spoilers over here. The majority of the comments so far are extremely negative in general, and hateful towards Sera in specific. It's one of those things where I feel a thing enough to rant about it, but not enough to do it in the post and deal with the wank.

My thoughts: I don't vehemently hate Sera. I don't loathe what's happened to the show. Sure it's not as good as it used to be, but everything changes and most shows degrade over time. Anyone who thinks otherwise is imho rather deluded. Everytime I see people bitch about season 6 and what a shitty job Sera has done and blah, blah, blah, I feel my inner Becky make an appearance. I just want to tell Fritz fandom that if they hate it so much that they should just leave. Seriously, the people who are still enjoying it are being brought down by all the Debbie Downers.

And for the love of Cas, stop with your idiotic petitions. TV isn't a democracy; you don't get a say. Plus, much as I love Ben Edlund, the show would suffer if he ran it because nobody would be able to rein in his cracktastical tendencies. So, certain peeps in fandom, STFD and STFU.

There comes a point during every summer hiatus that I start fearing/dreading the next season of Supernatural. It's struck again this year, and I think it might be the worst I've felt yet. Some of it has to do with the uncertainty brought about by a regime change. Some of it has to do with the possible spoilers that've been floating about. Most of it has to do with the fact that I know they aren't going to do what I think they should do.

ZOMG I should be getting Lego Harry Potter in the mail tomorrow and I am so excited! I hope nobody expected me to do anything for the next week.

Day Twenty-Nine: Your Favorite SPN Fanfic
Let me preface my answer with a little info about my fanfic reading habits. I am terrible when it comes to reading fanfic, as in the type of reader fanfic writers hate. I read copious amounts and leave little to no comments on them. (Most of the time it's because I can't think of anything to say other than, "That was good. I liked it.") I'm not even particularly affected by what I read. It's basically just something to kill time. I should try to be better about it, but it seems like too much effort sometimes.

TL;DR I don't have a favorite fic because I don't let myself connect with the fic I read.

Today's my birthday and it's been awesome. My mom made me a Stonehenge cake and decorated the house with pics from Stonehenge Apocalypse. My dad delivered me yummy, yummy food. I will be getting my birthday present from them (Batman: Under the Red Hood) in a couple of weeks. And cho_malfoy made me a super groovy birthday post and Jared as Doctor Who icon, which is cooler than all other icons ever. Oh, yeah. You wish you had my life.

Day Twenty-Seven: Your Favorite Season Intro Episode
I assume this means fave season premiere. I will go with "Lazarus Rising." No particular reason Pamela's hot, just 'cuz.

Oops. Almost forgot to post today. I went to California and back this morning waaaaaay too early, so I kinda ended up all fuzzy and sleepy for the rest of the day.

Day Twenty-Five: Something That You Wish Happened But Didn't
Sam and Dean bodyswapping. I'm sure Jensen and Jared would have had a field day with that. Or hell, Sam and/or Dean bodyswapping with a girl a la "Turnabout Intruder" on Star Trek. I truly think they wasted the opportunity of their bodyswap episode. They didn't even have Sam do an "Oh, boy" (in the style of Sam Beckett on Quantum Leap) when he saw his reflection. That episode was just fail on so many levels.

My tentative thought is to have my birthday gif spam on Saturday. I say tentative because one of my friends is due to give birth at any moment and it's hard to plan anything around that. (That baby had better hurry up. The wait is killing me.)

Day Twenty-Three: The Character That Is Most Like You
I don't honestly know. Most of the time I would say Dean. Lately though, I've kinda been going through a Castiel phase. I don't fully understand what's going on around me or what I'm doing. I don't get people and I don't know if I like them. I've been kinda disillusioned even though I refuse to give up. Mostly, there hasn't been much variety in my clothing and what I do wear is rumpled. :)

Day Nineteen: Your Favorite SPN Song
I was gonna say Foreplay/Long Time, but then I checked my icons. I love when Dean is a happy dork and sings. So, Heat of the Moment and Wanted Dead or Alive are probably my faves. Maybe more Wanted Dead or Alive because we get Sam's "Waaaaaaaah-NED" part. It's so adorbs. <3
