Britney's in the news again. *sigh* She's talking about her marriage to K Fed, how the paparazzi are big meanies, and the like. The thing that really caught my attention was the fact that she was thinking about having her baby in Namibia. Apparently Africa is the it place for pregnancy now.

Sidenote: I should make myself a *facepalm* icon for moments like these. Oh well. I think I will share the hotness that is Christian Bale in the meantime.

That's true, Africa has enough problems. And Mars might actually be a livable place one day. Maybe Pluto? The asteroid belt? Some dead moon somewhere?

You can never have enough Christian Bale icons, that's for sure. I need to make more Keane icons myself because I talk about them so much. I like to have icons to match my content for some inexplicable reason.

I hear Io is nice this time of year.

I like having icons to match content, but I think its better to have them match mood. That means I'm going to have to completely overhaul the thirty-two icons I have available on LJ. Bleh.

Having them match mood and content is what I often strive for, although it doesn't always work. I mean, why choose?

I think I have eighty-six icons on here, and I need to overhaul some of mine, too. That's not something I'm really looking forward to. (I also have to fix my mood theme, and I'm lazy enough to not want to.)

When I have money again, I plan to buy the 100 icon option because when I paid for the journal, I forgot how nice it was to have variety.

Plus, I actually have to finish the mood theme and layout that I'm working on because I have an idea for two more after the Love & Destroy one.

I got extremely lucky; one of my online friends bought me a year account at Christmas, and I got the icon upgrade for free. I hope they do that again this year; I'd really like to have that option at the end of the year.

Two more mood themes or two more layouts or both? Because dang, that's creativity right there.

(And yay Lionel! ♥)

From: [identity profile] rahnekat1.livejournal.com
I hope they do too. Actually, it'd be really nice if I could convince someone to buy me account time. Oh well.

Two more of both. Although, considering how much trouble the first mood theme is giving me (emote Tom!), I may leave those out.

(Should I add more Lionel icons to my list of things to do?)

I have very altruistic friends. In the magical fairy land where I have money, I fully intend on buying them all some paid time, especially the ones who have done that for me.

Wow, good luck on that. I get so burned out on mood themes that I tend to keep them for a while. I've had this one for years (but I'm still happy with it, so I don't care). Layouts I tend to cycle through every six months or so, although I've been considering doing an Under the Iron Sea layout, if only temporarily.

(Lionel icons win at life, especially if you have to have Smallville icons.)

I'll probably cycle through layouts just as quickly, but first I have to actually finish my first. Bleh.

(And of course I have to have SV icons. Why? Do you think I should switch to SPN icons?)

Well, once you finish one, doing more shouldn't be too hard. It's getting past that first time that's a bit tough.

(Supernatural is definitely better than Smallville, so yes.)

I think I'll probably finish up the first one in the next couple days, so... After that Love & Destroy, I can't decide whether to do Be My Savior or Come And Dance With Me first.

(Overall, SPN is better than SV. But I gotta say I love Mike and Tommy more than JSquared. Although this Jenny icon quite amuses me.)

Well, those are some interesting themes. I can hardly imagine what the second one would be about.

(And, wow, seeing them referred to as Mike, Tommy, and Jenny kind of freaks me out.)

Date: 2006-06-16 10:13 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] rahnekat1.livejournal.com
Meh. I just decided that all my layouts should have song lyric titles. And two out of three are Franz. Go me.

(And how is seeing them referred to that any freakier than me saying it out loud? Would it help if I spelled Tommy and Jenny with an i? Heh.)

Ack! I'm running out of icons to use! I'm going to have to start repeating in a couple of minutes.

Whatever bloats your stoat, I guess. I tend to just have general layout themes, like 'Shoebox Project' or 'Franz Ferdinand' or even 'a color theme I just like', but I guess I'm a bit boring.

(I never said seeing it written out was less freaky than hearing it out loud. I think it's equally as freaky. Especially 'Jenny'. I wonder if his friends call him that?)

The best comment spam sessions involve repeating icons. Well, either that or making icons to go with each new comment, but that's more a thing to do on GJ than on here.

From: [identity profile] rahnekat1.livejournal.com
I may not even carry through with the other layouts. I just kinda had the idea for all three at the same time, hence the theme.

(I doubt his friends call him that. Just the fangirls. His friends probably stick with 'Jensen' or possibly 'Jen' at the shortest.)

Well, the repeating will happen pretty definitely. After this icon, I think I only have one or two left that I haven't used.

I see. Well, if you have the ideas, you might as well use them. Or you could even make the layouts and give people the option of using them if you don't want to. I'm not secure enough about my design skills to do that, but maybe you are.

(I rather like the name Jensen. I think it's not too common, but not 'Audio Science'-esque, either. Okay, I'm done with the random speculation now.)

I still have a few left, but I'm not entirely sure which ones I've used already and I'm too lazy to double-check, so I'll probably repeat, too.

Animorphs!

(Way I hear, his parents decided 'Justin' was too normal. You know, Jen did a movie with Reno Girl, so he may know something about 'Audio Science'. Other than being very lucky he wasn't named anything similar.)

I may start repeating before I run out because I too am too lazy to double-check.

I have a couple of more where that came from! (Or, wait, I think just this one...I deleted the others.)

(Oh, I like Jensen better than Justin. Good thing that his parents are relatively sane when it comes to naming.)

Hurrah for laziness.

You know that crap epi of SV last night had the girl who played Rachel on the show?

(I'm still probably going to go with Christian if I ever have a son. Between Moulin Rouge and Christian Bale, it has pleasant connotations. I'm just going to ignore the fact that there's also Christian Kane.)

How could she do that? She was much better on SPN anyway since she didn't end up being killed by Lana's eyegasms.

(I like Christian better. But I also have the names Gabriel and Nathaniel picked out as little boys' names.)

It's tragic, but a lot of good Canadian actors end up on that wasteland some call a television show.

(Heh, I think if I was actually going to have kids, the three of us would have to battle it out for Gabriel. Either that, or there'd be three first cousins with the name 'Gabriel'. That could be funny.)

A lot of good Canadian actors end up on any show filmed in Vancouver. For example, I think so far CSM has been in every one of my Canadian filmed fandoms, even SPN.

(I could see that happening. Then we'd have to call all three by their middle names or there would be much confusion.)

I didn't know he was on Supernatural, too. Huh. At least actors around there never seem to have a shortage of work.

(Luckily for any of your future offspring, I'm not having any, so that eliminates some of the competition.)

Yeah, he was in an epi I haven't seen yet. But, everyone loves CSM, so they mention when they see him.

(I want two girls. So, if fate smiles on me, I won't even be needing boy names.)

Yeah. I've been finding a disproportionate (sp?) number of Buffy and Firefly fans over at the Supernatural fandom. Not like I'm complaining. Its nice have sane Jossverse fans around.

(Yep. I bet Danielle will have children first, though, which would kinda make this discussion moot.)

Yeah. The SV people I expect because of Jen, and the Gilmore Girls people I expect because of Jared. The X-Philes around because of the creative forces. Really, everyone seems at home with the Winchesters.

I cursed myself. I should have guessed it would happen. I just thought that since I was working on a nice, quiet obsession with CSI that I would be safe. But no. Stupid pervy, incesty man-love.

gorgeousnerd: #GN written in the red font from my layout on a black background. (Irish.)

Not counting a certain friend's obsession, CSI just doesn't seem like the type of thing that eats souls for a living. I saw right away that Supernatural was trouble, though.

From: [identity profile] rahnekat1.livejournal.com
Its not, even though I do spend a lot of time thinking about how the CSIs would react to certain bodies. And I'm just not that smart sometimes. I should have known SV was going to be an issue after having a thing for Lois & Clark, but I didn't pick up on it until too late. I guess I'll just never learn.
